Wymeswold Defibrillator Fund - Update

The appeal fund has received a great number of generous donations and we are delighted to report that over £3,500 has now been raised. Therefore we have achieved our target of acquiring two defibrillators for the village. The two AED units have been ordered and will shortly be installed: one by the Parish notice board on The Stockwell and the other by the main entrance to the Memorial Hall.

There is a small surplus after the purchase of the units but we will still incur additional costs as both units have to be installed with secure electrical supplies.

It is proposed to leave the fund open for further donations with the aim of securing a hand-held portable AED (cost approx £600) to be available at village events such as the Duck Race, Washstock, Open Gardens Weekend and sports fixtures.

The appeal committee wishes to thank all those individuals and groups who donated for their kind and generous support of this project.
